Camp Kagama on Flickr.

morrison island, ingleside

we went for a nice long winter’s walk through nairne island and morrison island the other day. had forgotten that that is where camp kagama is. i attended camp there one summer more than 40 years ago. everything looks the same - the same cabins are still standing - i think i stayed in ‘st. pauls - cornwall’ but i’m not 100% sure… it was neat to see it in winter - mclaren hall, et al.

Cold Turkey - 1 of 3 on Flickr.

there were a pack of 15 to 20 wild turkeys in the field across from our house today. they are quite large, about the size of a medium to large size dog. and boy, can they run! they were reaching up and picking berries off of the trees as you can see in photo #2.

Flying Home on Flickr.

my wife’s father passed away this past sunday. he lived to be over 90, raised a very caring and loving family of 10 children, was married to his wife norma for 68 years, and was a WWII pilot (Bomber Command 9 SQD) in the RCAF and RAF.

I wanted to do a fitting photo to honour his memory.

I combined two shots of mine:

and his hands:

i flipped the image of the hands, and resized it to match the plane/flag image. then i combined them at pixlr.com, making the layer of the hands more translucent.
